Maximillian White

Maximillian White was born in Radford, Nottingham, in 1980. At seventeen he was running his family’s pub, the Spread Eagle on Alfreton Road, reputedly the youngest licensee in the country.

Bars and clubs followed, from Majorca to the Algarve. So did property across Dubai, Spain, Portugal, Thailand and the UK, early investments in technology companies and, from 2015, one of the largest medical cannabis operations in Europe.

Music and art have run alongside it all. He sang as a cathedral chorister, DJ’d in Majorca, co-founded a funky house record label and still paints large-scale portraits in his own studio.

Now based in Dubai, he is putting three decades of building businesses into a new research institute.
